Dots and Boxes, played on a diamond instead of a square. Close a box, claim it, and take another turn — the board's slanted edges change every calculation you thought you knew.
Two players take turns drawing one line at a time. Complete the fourth side of a box and it becomes yours — and you move again. The player holding the most boxes when the board fills up wins. The trick, as always, is knowing when to hand your opponent a small gift to avoid giving them a large one.
